French Language Programs

Each year, the Division of Continuing Studies offers La Maison Française, an immersion program in French as a Second Language. Classes are small (maximum 18). The schedule consists of 20 hours of classroom instruction per week, Monday to Friday, workshops, and a full program of sociocultural activities. The Department of Canadian Heritage provides bursaries to Canadian citizens with at least grade 11, who at the time of application are enrolled as full-time students in the current academic year. Government bursaries may also be available to certified BC teachers.
