Every applicant to UVic must meet the minimum general admission requirements listed below as well as provide sufficient proof of English Language Proficiency.
In addition to the general requirements listed below, math and/or science courses at the senior level are required for specific programs within the Faculties of Business, Engineering, Human & Social Development (Health Information Science) and Science.
In some cases, certain programs also require additional supplementary information (questionnaires, auditions, portfolios, etc.) as part of their selection process. Please refer to specific program webpages for further information.
The following qualifications are the minimum required for consideration to first-year studies in the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as being the general admission requirements for all other programs. Possession of the minimum admission requirements, however, in no way guarantees acceptance. Only those applicants who meet all specific program requirements and have attained a high level of academic achievement will be admitted.
